On April 10, 2024, Dr. Yawei Li, a new Chinese Lecturer starting in fall 2024, gave a lecture on the incorporation of culture and context in language learning to students in the CHIN 302 class. The lecture was delivered in Chinese.  Students enjoyed the lecture, and Dr. Li was impressed with the language proficiency levels of our third-year students, who were able to understand the academic lecture and interact with Dr. Li in Chinese.  Dr. Li also had the opportunity to visit the classes of Professors Bo Liu and Ching-Hsuan Wu.  In addition, Dr. Li met with several colleagues from different language sections.
