Urbino, Italy ITAL 308: With Denise Caterinacci

A three-week summer study course in Italy which includes travel to important locations and an extended stay at L’Universita` di Urbino Carlo Bo in Urbino, Italy, a city well-known for its cultural and linguistic heritage. This course focuses on language immersion and the processing of cultural experience. It features intense collaboration with Italian student peers and seminars co-taught by Italian faculty. Students meet Mondays through Fridays in a formal setting for advanced language study designed to improve proficiency in speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing. Denise Caterinacci has taught Italian language courses at Case Western Reserve University since 1989. Previously, she consulted with multi-national corporations, preparing executives with language and culture orientation for extended periods of relocation. Her Italian roots are in both the Veneto and Abruzzo regions.
