On March 29, 2024, students enrolled in RUSN 370: Special Topics – Russian Through Art course attended a play based on the novel The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov at the Ariel LaSalle Theater. The novel is extremely popular among Russian speakers.  It deals with the interplay of good and evil, innocence and guilt, courage and cowardice, exploring such issues as the responsibility towards truth when authority would deny it, and freedom of the spirit in an unfree world. The performance was in Russian.
