Please join us for a FREE hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the ancient craft of creating Alebrijes – fantastical creatures derived from Mexican folk art. In this workshop, you will learn how to carve, sculpt, and paint your own Alebrije from start to finish.

The workshop is led by expert Artisan Héctor Castellanos Lara.  Lara is a Creative Art Specialist/ Therapist working with the new organization “Journey” workshops at the Beck Center for the Arts, Lakeland Community College, and Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center.
