Lai Jiang completed her B.A. in Business and M.A. in Japanese Pedagogy at Indiana University-Bloomington. She taught Japanese as an associate instructor for two years during her graduate study. Her Master’s project focused on the teaching of Japanese passive structures. Prior to joining CWRU, she assisted an intensive Japanese class at summer language workshop at Indiana University. Then she served as the Japanese Language Fellow at Earlham College and taught online Japanese courses at Johnson County Community College. Her research interests include kanji teaching and language proficiency assessment.
