OCTOBER 7th, Friday, 3pm-4pm in Clark 206
The BIENVENIDOS SPAN Alumni Reunion event, at which all of us will briefly present ourselves before the Provost gives the Welcome and Introductory Remarks. From there we will give a PowerPoint presentation on the transformative experience of study abroad; this is the time for us to showcase all of our wonderful programs and initiatives, In the time remaining , we will ask students how the study of Spanish has impacted their professional and/or personal development since they graduated (their candid remarks)
OCTOBER 7th, Friday, 4pm-5pm in Clark 206
The MERIENDA Y REENCUENTRO reception following the BIEVENIDOS event. This is our opportunity to mingle with our former students and answer questions that they. may have about Spanish at Case. There will be a catering by a Latino restaurant/café and bakery (most likely Half Moon Bakery on the West Side), and a student musician playing classical Spanish and Latin American guitar pieces.
OCTOBER 8th, Saturday, 10am-12pm (Zoom meeting)
The CAFECITO Y CONVERSACIÓN virtual SPAN Alumni Reunion. The format is as follows: brief introductions by SPAN faculty in DMLL, followed by students’ introductions, then a PowerPoint presentation on the SPAN program at Case, wrapping up with a Q & A session.
This event will be attended by our current SPAN majors and minors.
