The purpose of the organization shall be to embody the “good, clean, and fair” food ideals of Slow Food International. We hope to educate individuals in the areas of agriculture, food production, and gastronomy. In particular, our campus chapter seeks to support local foods through tastings, farming workshops, film screenings, and guest speakers. The Slow Food CWRU chapter aspires to link the school campus to a worldwide movement, ultimately to facilitate public awareness of the environmental, health, and gastronomical impacts of industrial agriculture and to further the development of sustainable practices for the future of food.
