Zsuzsanna Csikós is an Associate Professor of Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Szeged, Hungary. She holds degrees in history, Russian philology and Hispanic philology.  She has a doctorate in Hispanic literature with the thesis El problema del doble en Cambio de piel de Carlos Fuentes (2002). Her research focuses on 20th century Hispanic narrative and the history of literary-cultural relations between Hungary and the Hispanic world. She is the Director and Editor of Acta Hispanica, a scientific journal of the Department of Hispanic Studies (Szeged) published annually since 1996. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of Beoiberística (Belgrade) and is on the Editorial Board of the journalof the Central European Hispanists Network, Colindancias (Timisoara). She has been president of Organizing Committee of several International Conferences in Szeged(Transiciones: de la dictadura a la democracia, 2015; Américas transnacionales: hogares, fronteras y transgresiones, 2017; XIX Congreso de la Federación Internacional de Estudios sobre América Latina y el Caribe, 2019). In 2018 she was decorated by theEncomienda de la Orden de Isabel la Católica of Spain for her activity stimulating the development of Hungarian-Hispanic relations.
